Gabriele Rachen-Schoenich, of the Zentrum fur ARR co-author with Klaus Schoenich of Straightening The Crooked Horse says this of our collaboration:
“Over her 10 years of association with us at ARR, Clara has been able to change her own riding from being very mechanical and superficial to showing true feeling and a light hand. She has helped many horse owners here to sensitise and strengthen their body awareness. Her practices are very effective and quick to be implemented by the rider.”
People who’ve worked with me in the past say the following :
“Clara has been incredibly impactful on my riding … increased awareness and control of my body enables me to positively influence my horse ..”
-Zahra S, UK
“Clara has had a profound impact on my journey of self-discovery and growth … Through Clara’s unique style I have learned so much more about myself and my strengths …”
-Ulrike H, Germany
“Clara creates dynamic and enriching learning experiences in each session, seamlessly blending motivation with empathetic engagement ..”

Coaching
You are the expert in your own life.
But we all get caught up in our stories and our self beliefs and our mental patterns.
My job as your coach is to listen deeply to you; to hold up your reflection to yourself, and to use neuroscience to disrupt your patterns by asking the right questions so you can move ahead and then make your new reality. -
Qi Gong
This ancient Chinese art teaches breathing, centring and balancing of yourself.
Through Qi Gong you will learn to not only to calm your mind and focus your attention.
I will also teach you how to find your center and then to set your boundaries – the two things that make you unshakeable. -
Pilates
Unbalanced distribution of the riders’ weight causes confusion and distress to the horse.
Very often ‘naughtiness’ is just the horse responding to your own involuntary instructions.
Through Pilates I will identify your imbalances and through exercises we will make you stronger, more supple and more balanced. You will build a deeper bond, both in and out of the saddle.

The course is based on the learnings of the last eighteen years with my horse, A’bientot – better known as “The Sheikh”.
He was the main man, but he wasn’t alone; Humans along the way have been:
Shi Heng Yi, Head Master at the Shaolin Temple Europe, Germany.
Klaus Schoeneich and Gabriele Rachen-Schoeneich of the Zentrum für Anatomisch Richtiges Reiten, Goch Germany.
Why work with me:
-
I’m a certified professional coach and a member of the International Coaching Federation, a peak body of coaching worldwide.
-
I’m a qualified Balanced Body Pilates instructor and have been studying qi gong for many years, with Shi Heng Yi at the Shaolin Temple Europe and more recently under Sifu Yap Bo Chong in Kuala Lumpur, the Lineage Holder of the Yan Shou Gong.
-
I’m an owner, rider and firm believer in the methods of ARR to create the grounded and balanced horse in accordance with classical methods.
This very particular mix of expertise, experience and love has helped me create this course in order to help other owners who are searching for the same solutions for themselves that have taken me 10 years and more to find.
Groups of more than 6 require a second coach and facilitator.
In Germany & Switzerland this is my colleague Ulrike Heine, also a certified professional coach.
Ulrike is fluent in both English and German so while the courses are held in English Ulrike will be able to assist if conceptual translation is required.
In the UK my colleague Eileen Daly will work with us where the workshop will be hosted at Hollow Farm Equestrian.
Based in Ireland, Eileen is a certified therapist who uses Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Gestalt techniques in her Art Therapy practice.
She is a fellow student of the Yan Shou Gong and has been working to combine the principles of this authentic qi gong into her therapy practice for the last five years.
It will be our honour to share this part of your journey with you.
